THE ARTIST – Creates COMMUNITY/TRIBE

Some other choices in this category are Designer, Painter, Musician and Poet. Through your expression of life as an Artist you create tribes or followers that form community. This is how you grow your style of leadership. It is through your followers/community that you can see how your visions and artistic talents as a new style leader benefit others. By simply sharing your talent, art or craft, your community then starts to enroll others to support your leadership and vision as their own.

Community Needs Your Leadership.

Become A Social Entrepreneur Connector

Home truth coming your way… I haven’t always been the best at the whole networking thing. I use to think, if I always do my best the business will come. Well that does work to some degree, but the truth is good networking does work and great networking rocks!!!

The thought of networking at conferences and industry events can make some social entrepreneurs a little bored, twitchy or even nervous to say the least. But if you go into it feeling that uncomfortable, your results will be mediocre. Attending “Great Connecting Events” are a major part of being a successful entrepreneur, so it’s in your best interest to get being really, really good at it…

Its time to learn how to be a spectacular “Tribe-Talker”

Here is a simple format to help you make valuable connections and find ways to unleash your expressive, dynamic and passionate tribe-talker within.

Slide05

1. Ideas = Intention

Identify your intention before you even get to your event.

What are you looking to get out of the event?
Are you there to generate leads?
What kind of people do you want to meet?
Which speakers do you want to connect with?

2. Integrity = Identity

Leave your intrusive elevator pitch at home.

Remember you’re not there to close a sale. Avoid selling yourself and telling everyone why your product or service is the best. Instead, ask everyone you speak to… “Is there anything I can do to help your operation.” This generous approach will leave an impression that ensures they’ll answer your phone call or email after the event.

This display of “Generosity of Spirit” starts to build your relationship for future discussions. Don’t forget to follow up with everyone. Make contact within 72 hours of the event. This keeps your encounter fresh in peoples minds.

3. Passion = Purpose

Don’t sound robotic. Let your true personality shine through. Be authentic.

Building 4 or 5 meaningful connections is better than collecting 30 business cards from people you wont speak to again. Sprouting off your script-like spiel might get you a business card, but probably just to make you go away.

Take time to be fully present in your conversations and remember your follow up time after the event is important. Those “being totally present conversations” can often lead to valuable business opportunities.

4. Leadership = Leverage

Be heard and seen.

Nobody is going to remember you unless you are engaging. If you are at a conference make an effort to ask at least one question during the Q&A session following each presentation. Not an empty question with no real purpose – it needs to be an interaction of authenticity and intelligent. This is a great way to get on the radar of everyone in the room. People will approach you to connect and will initiate conversation. If you seem even a little savvy around a topic, you become attractive, a magnet that can pull in contacts from many directions.

5. Diversity = Dynamic

Team up with a people who compliment your flaws and strengths.

It’s always easier when you have others on your team – it gives you extra confidence and if you select your networking partners carefully you can make sure you are equipped with people who make up for your shortcomings.

For instance, if you are a bit of a risk taker or change agent partner up with someone that is a people pleaser and mentor. Let them open up some conversations and introduce you to bring it home and make new connections. And equally, you can support them when need be, with your unique strengths.

Do we have more than one tribe?

You become more of who you’re meant to be, by sharing yourself authentically with others.

Becoming more of “who you know you really are” and making your greatest contribution through sharing your gifts is all about finding your team; your tribe.

It’s less about running a solo race and more about trusting in others to support what you want to do and be in life.

Many of us have spent years struggling in isolation, trying to break away from old patterns.

You may have a deep and passionate desire to deliver your true creativity to the world.

You may appear to have wonderfully supportive friends and family members, but your inner experience still feels like you are alone.

And often part of the problem is that you may beat yourself up for not being able to do it alone.

What if these challenges to your true potential weren’t caused by any personal inadequacy, but rather was the result of not having enough real support in your life.

Real support looks like this –

1. Being with people who know where you’re coming from.

2. Being with people who also share their authentic self with you.

3. Being with people who celebrate your wins and understand that mistakes are also essential to living a socially and spiritually fulling life.

Do your LIFE !

When we are faced with a conflict with in a group or even within ourselves, we need to go straight to the collective vision to see why the conflict has risen. It doesn’t mean the conflict will disappear immediately, but rather you will see that the conflict is actually a creative conflict and a necessary part of the conscious evolution as a whole. It is from this point of choice that your vision starts to evolve into a reality. The creative conflict is a re-aligning mechanism and in the process of correcting and transforming the creative conflict, you actually become the vision. In regards to how community needs to work together, this concept is leading edge.

A community’s true function is unity and I believe the science of community is connectivity and coherence with each other. It is in our willingness and ability to correct and transform that brings us together as a community. The beauty of our collective outcome becomes a genuine part of the natural order and process. We as human beings are literally encoded and designed to successfully contribute to the evolution of humanity. As we move forward on this journey of evolution lets be mindful of what we are contributing to the whole, are you clear about your purpose, your function and the possible outcome of your actions. Do your LIFE and lets be creative together.
