Create A New Story Of Sisterhood

Re-Post from 2012

Here is my personal story of surrender – it is a story that demonstrates the power of surrender and how every thought, action and word contributes to the social and spiritual fabric of our world.

On the morning of Sep 11th 2001 – I walked in to my youngest sons bedroom to see him witnessing the horror of the twin towers falling – he said “Mum look the US is being attacked.” I sat on the bed with him in disbelief – I wasn’t sure if it was real or not. Once I had come to terms with the fact that it was real – I then asked my self “who am I in conflict with, who is it that I need to make peace with right now.”

I knew at some level – however small, I had contributed to this madness – immediately a woman’s name came to mind, it was someone I had often been judgmental about. In that moment I handed it all to God, I said “I offer this to you God – I totally release this conflict within me and will be aware of my words from this moment on, I offer this to you to be healed.”

That morning I took my husband to the airport for work, both of us still in a state of shock. On the way back from the airport I thought I would visit St Peters Cathedral – which has a beautiful area at the back of the cathedral called The Lady Chapel. I had often visited The Lady Chapel – it is a wonderful place for women to go to when they need a little comfort and shelter from the harshness of the world.

I walked in to the chapel to find only one other person there – it was her – the woman I needed to make peace with. There we were both in the same place, at the same time, doing the same thing. She had her eyes closed, so I gently put my hand on her lap and whispered her name. She looked up at me and said so sweetly, “I thought you were The Madonna”. I smiled, made eye contact and moved on to enter my silence and be with my God. I will never forget the gift I was given that day – It was so powerful.

I tell that story often because it confirms to others and to myself the enormous power of synchronicity, I have no doubt that my experience that day was a direct message and blessing from GOD. I was given a gift; a wake up call, to get on with the work that I needed to do while here on our beautiful jewel, planet Earth.

The New Story Of Sisterhood starts with a chapter called “Surrender”.

Lets surrender up the old, so called sister story of competition, jealousy, she said, I said, what about, I hate it when and so on. Let’s say NO I don’t want to support or tell that old story anymore. The number one key to creating a new story is being prepared to let go of the old one. This is how I do it; I say to myself “give it up, give it up, give it up”. I surrender my life to the nature of God and I am free, I am free to be me.

As we confidently embrace our liberation as New Women, we can use this opportunity to connect with each other at a whole new level. We can start a new story that speaks of encouragement and tenderness toward each other as sisters. The sisters that went before us courageously made way for our liberation. Now it is up to us to truly embrace our present day sisters with our hearts wide open, proudly knowing they are our support team. I encourage you to stand naked in your truth and liberate your self some more. You have been born into a time like no other, don’t waste a second of your liberty sisters. Speak from your heart, walk tall and know that from your own personal liberty, you are helping to raise the self esteem of other women.

Our time here on earth is sacred and only a blink in the vastness of the cosmos. We are all blessed with many gifts and as we honor them in each other our power and beauty grows. Idle gossip and control tactics wont add value to any situation – our time here on earth is to love each other and express our individual passions. So let’s go forth with love and light in our hearts, bless the world with our many gifts and create a new story of sisterhood.

I invite you to share your ideas on what our new story may look like and how it is coming alive in your own life.

Give it to me NOW!

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

This is the number one mantra used in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and a great tool for those struggling with any emotional addictions or substance addictions.

Let’s have a think about this All the reasons why we cant respond to our heart’s desire are basically not true, and only feed our emotional addictions or our need for control… which we often hide behind.

Our ‘collective shadow-side’ has been running amuck for a long time and needs some serious transformation. We can either keep feeding its addiction or acknowledge its presence and decide to transform it into its full GLORY.

New Style Leadership is a vehicle of liberation and illumination Not a game of comparing and competition.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could collectively “correct and transform” the following;

THESE ARE THE FOUR MAIN EMOTIONAL ADDICTIONS.

CONFLICT

SUFFERING

WITH-HOLD

ENABLING

Most people live with one or all of these addictions every day…. we can use this information to keep stuck in our old story/addiction or we can use it as a driver toward a new style of leadership.

Let’s transform our psyche from FADE to FLOURISH

So, if we have an addictive nature (and I believe all humans have) let’s change our addiction to one that works positively for all of us.

We could turn our “re-active impulse” into our soul’s “creative impulse”: Our Life Purpose

You know, that thing we just can’t live without… let our Obedient Heart be our compass of JOY… let joy become our fix, our next hit.

I have a burning desire to activate as many people as possible, so they can truly prosper in their glowing authenticity.

If this is my creative impulse, my positive addiction, bring it on… I want it now, give it to me, give it to me NOW!

What is it that’s driving your passionate desires?

Create COMMUNITY

Community is where you build your style of leadership. It is through your community that you see how your vision and talents as a new style leader benefit others. By creating a community you are enrolling others to support your leadership and vision as well as their own.

Community needs leadership.

The Art Of Adding Value

The Real Deal seminars tagline is #TheArtOfAddingValue … which was inspired by an extraordinary man known as “Bucky”.

I came across Buckminster Fuller’s work over 20 years ago and it has never left me. His principles have stood the test of time and that is why I still quote Bucky today.

Here are just a few of his pearls of wisdom… I hope they also inspire you.

The purpose of our lives is to add value to the people of this generation and those that follow.
~ Buckminster Fuller

You can never learn less; you can only learn more. The reason I know so much is because I have made so many mistakes.
~ Buckminster Fuller

Everyone is born a genius, but the process of living de-geniuses them.
~ Buckminster Fuller

When I am working on a problem I never think about beauty. I only think about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.

WOMEN – Your Brand Is Your Love Affair With Life!

10919397_761555630595179_4104891250731557700_o

Whisper in Love, Weep with Love and Wish only for Love.

This is the Majesty and Language of the Heart.

What we really want is Real Deal freedom… a pure and undiluted version of freedom.

So, we need to create an impulse of SHE power (Spiritually Healthy Entrepreneurs)… And I believe it’s being in community that holds the freedom we are all looking for, not a stuffy, sticky or intrusive bunch of people who don’t know who they really are.

But rather, connecting to The Truth in each other and making real contact with those who understand our heart song… this is what we all long for.

And it’s our brands role to recognize the following, before we can truly connect with our tribe/audience.

  • We long for connection with all that is curious and creative.
  • We are creatures who belong to each other for reasons beyond analysis; it is our hearts desire and our life’s purpose to fulfill a worthy story.
  • We ache with a need to create or sadly the other is we become numb and indifferent.

I encourage us all to be courageously creative and connect to those who want to create with us. E.G.Ellames

Steves 7 Golden Rules

STEVE WALLPAPER 1 - mytrickytricks.blogspot

The Steve Jobs’ phenomena touched nearly every aspect of IT life; computers, movies, music and mobile. As a personal brand consultant I have observed Jobs presentation, values and style many times over – his unwavering commitment to creating quality was very inspiring. Perhaps Steve Jobs’ greatest legacy is the set of principles that drove his success.

Lets look deeper into the life and career of Steve Jobs’…

Here’s my view on his 7 golden rules and values underpinning his success.

Any of us can adopt them to unleash our “creative master” within.

1. Do what you love. Steve Jobs once said, “People with passion can change the world for the better.” When asked about the advice he would offer new entrepreneurs, he said, “I’d get a job as a busboy or something until I figured out what I was really passionate about.” That’s how much it meant to him.

Passion is everything.

2. Put a dent in the universe. Steve Jobs believed in the power of vision. He once asked then-Pepsi President, John Sculley, “Do you want to spend your life selling sugar-water or do you want to change the world?”

Don’t lose sight of the big vision.

3. Make connections. Steve Jobs once said creativity is connecting things. What he meant was people with a broad set of life experiences can often see things that others miss. He took calligraphy classes that didn’t have any practical use in his life – until he built the Macintosh. Jobs traveled to India and Asia. He studied design and hospitality.

Don’t live your life in a bubble. Connect ideas from different fields.

4. Say no to 1,000 things. Steve Jobs was as proud of what Apple chose not to do as he was of what Apple did do. When he returned to Apple in 1997, he took a company with 350 products and reduced them to 10 products in a two-year period. Why? So he could put the “A-Team” on each product.

What are you saying “no” to?

5. Create insanely different experiences. Steve Jobs also sought innovation in the customer-service experience. When he first came up with the concept for the Apple Stores, he said they would be different because instead of just moving boxes, the stores would enrich lives. Everything about the experience you have when you walk into an Apple store is intended to enrich your life and to create an emotional connection between you and the Apple brand.

What are you doing to enrich the lives of your tribe/community/audience?

6. Master the message. You can have the greatest idea in the world, but if you can’t communicate your ideas, it doesn’t matter. Jobs was the world’s greatest corporate storyteller.

Instead of simply delivering a presentation like most people do, he informed, he educated, he inspired and he entertained, all in one presentation.

7. Sell dreams, not products. Jobs captured our imagination because he really understood his tribe/audience. He knew that tablets would not capture our imaginations if they were too complicated. The result? One button on the front of an iPad. It’s so simple, a 2-year-old can use it. Your tribe don’t care about your product. They care about how it makes them feel and if it connects to their hopes and ambitions.

Jobs taught us that if you help your tribe/audience reach their dreams, you’ll win them over… that’s what a TribeTalker© is. They’re someone who believes in what you believe in and have simular values; your from the same tribe.

And when you connect to a brand at that level you share your enthusiasm with others and demonstrate your gratitude. You organicly become a devoted TribeTalker©… just like I’m doing right now.

I love every thing about my MAC, because it connects me to what I stands for, which is beauty, quality, creativity and truth. That is why I am a TribeTalker© for Steve Jobs and iMac… thats just how it works.

We are what we share… and we share if we care! That’s the TribeTalker© creed.

Steve_Jobs_portrait_by_tumb

There’s a great story that sums up Steve Jobs’ career at Apple. An executive who had the job of reinventing the Disney Store once called up Jobs and asked for advice.

His advice was… DREAM BIGGER. (Steve was like Walt in so many ways) I think that’s the best advice he could leave us with.

Our motto at Real Deal seminars is… Dream It, Create it, Feel it, Live it.

I lend a quote from Steve’s huge success – “See the genius in your craziness, believe in yourself, believe in your vision, and be constantly prepared to defend those ideas.”

Moving from Me to We

casual-cliffs-enjoyment-590510

As we lift the veil of separation among women, what do we see?

Unfortunately, the first thing we see is fear, fear of loss, fear of control and fear of being left behind. We are in conflict with our self, we have fought for our liberation and here in the west, I believe we have achieved it. We are socially liberated but on the level of consciousness, we are not. We are still trying to find what our true liberty means, which of course comes from our inner belief systems. We now suffer from our internal conditioning rather than external conditions. It’s time to set our self free, free from all the behaviors our ancestral grandmother’s adopted in order to survive, these thought processes no longer serve us, its time to grant our self true freedom.

Is it time for women to stop competing for position and unite?

We are more than ready to bring forth the New Woman, our souls want to connect heart to heart and together dream a brand new day. The way of the past has weighed heavy on our hearts and we didn’t really know what was causing it. I believe the constant threat of competition has caused most of the destructive family and social behaviors among women. Today we have many choices and opportunities that bring us closer to our true potential. We know deep in our bellies that we are encoded with the power of unity. Where there is competition there is no innovation, but where there is innovation coupled with unity there is valuable momentum.

Are we responsible for our conditioned behavior?

Our conditioned behavior is an inbuilt protection system passed down from earlier generations, but now that system has become inappropriate for its environment. A bit like an old operating system on your computer, as soon as you know there is a new operating system available, everything about the old one seems to be irritating and slow. We can keep putting up with the old system or simply uploading the new one. Its all about responsibility; the ability to respond – It’s just a matter of choice and perseverance. The key for me is to keep uploading my New We Operating System. It works every time!

Are you ready to move from a ME reality to a WE reality?

Please share…

Goodbye to Gossip

Hello Integrity….. Dear old gossip has become an addiction for many women.

It is seductive and builds an unhealthy intimacy among women, which creates false security. I believe the female species will come to a place of contentment when this persistent obstacle is corrected and transformed.

Gossip is connected to these four faces of addiction.

  • boredom
  • competition
  • drama
  • low self-esteem

Realizing this is the first step to healing the addiction – from there we can choose to participate in it or not.

It is said the point of power is in the present and poor old Gossip is never in the present she is always going on about what was said or happened in the past. She weaves her words for the purpose of separation, which create a divide in friendships, family and community.

Gossip keeps everyone small and is always driven by fear. Women have relied on gossip to define their position in society and culture for centuries, but it is not necessary anymore. Women now have the opportunity to rise up out of this unproductive damaging behavior and create a new and prosperous culture for all women.

Gossip is a shadow deity whose time and face has come to an end. She has upgraded to the face of “Integrity”, who is evolving into the New Woman, the New Humanity and therefore there is no place for these old behaviors.

I say it is time to put our temptation to spread rumors to bed and start being more creative with our female conversations, after all, we are extremely creative beings.

For the record, the gossip on me is “why does she always have to be… so in ya’ face” well my response to that is – at least it’s to your face and not behind your back and bitchin’ in the kitchen so to speak.

Guess it all started with that wicked old queen in the story of Snow White who’s famous last words were “Mirror, Mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all” now she had a serious bitchin’ addiction.

Hope you can take this refreshing idea into your relationships and watch them bloom into something far greater than girly catch ups.

Living With Desire

It’s imperative that we bring forth our soul’s greatest desires.

Our life is a gift not to be squandered and if we pick only one true heartfelt desire to achieve in our outer world and only one heartfelt desire to achieve in our inner world, we can aid in the betterment of the whole world. In fact, if it changes us individually for the better it most defiantly will change the world because after all we are all connected by the Divine Web of Creation.

You might ask, “Why is this important?” It is because desire is the spark that ignites the flame of your soul and illuminates your innate creativity, imagination, and vision. Through your pure, heartfelt intention you will summon one of the most powerful agents of change in the universe—Desire.

So imagine if we really got cooking and accessed all our creativity and heartfelt desires – perhaps we really could create world peace.

In its purest form, your soul’s desire is a magnet pulling you toward the life you want to live. Your desires will source you with the inspiration to release your outdated beliefs and let go of whatever behavior is keeping you stuck in the past.

Your soul’s desires compel you to grow, evolve and move closer to your highest potential. Beneath the surface of your ego’s insatiable cravings, your authentic desires are waiting patiently for you to recognize, declare and communicate them.

My passion and quest are this – I am committed to raising self-esteem in women, young children, young women and the men in their life – I see an urgent need to ignite hidden desires and to help people step aboard the creative flow of life.

Joyously lifting them up from a mundane material world to a place of purpose and full expression.

I see that many young people have lost the ability to be creative – they’ve been born into a world where life has been presented to them by the means of “whatʼs in it for me?” and sadly when one comes from a place of constantly taking, they lose sight of whatʼs real and have no vision or more seriously they don’t develop the ability to give of themselves creatively.

Of course, it is not only our youth, but we also have been spoon feed information now for a couple of decades and have forgotten what it is like to explore and play in the realm of our imagination, in some ways we have forgotten how to really think, play and feel. Finding one’s self is more than a little personal development, it is a journey into the extraordinary fabric of the unseen worlds and the ability to bring back the treasures you found there.

Itʼs the ability to bring them back to our world and develop them for the greater good of all.

That is what a true Artisan, Visionary or Leader is – they are not afraid to be different, they don’t ask whatʼs in it for me, they are jubilant and thrilled to live their life with passion and conviction. They know how great it feels to be in flow with all that is and to use the time that they have been given wisely and to the best of their ability.

I am not saying that the information age and globalization has been entirely bad but sometimes when there is so much to choose from we choose nothing or just take what we are told we need.

What if this is the Humanitarian Age!

I invite you to share what your real deal passions and desires are in your life?

Do you know your Tribe Talkers?

Get Emotionally Involved With Your Tribe-Talkers…

As New Style Leaders we tend to get lost in activities like designing flyers, writing blogs and growing a Facebook following—this can make us forget the more important stuff.

What I am about to share may be hard to hear and so it’s hard to write too because I know it may not be the answer you’re looking for.

Slide13

We all want the right answers, the step-by-step, the foolproof, guaranteed-not-to-fail method.

The truth is, if there was one then we’d all be telling our stories like dizzy drones without connecting to our audience and community.

The key is not to see our leadership as ‘a campaign’ that starts and ends, or as a process that you’re just getting through, but to think of your leadership role or your product launch as a love affair with life, which creates an emotional connection with your audience.

Our role is to connect heart to heart with our audience and deliver their desires.

Walk into an Apple store, pick up any item or device and feel the design and quality talking to you through your hands straight to your heart.

Every curve, screen, and tiny detail says, “we cared enough to know you are a creative person” to each of their customers.

What would you want to say to your audience if you were face to face?

What can you share with your audience that they want to hear… which other brands or business just don’t have?

What are your peers or competitors too afraid to try?

Your role it to “Say” and “Do” that thing.

We all just need to get out there and be the Real Deal, because my friend that’s really all that matters.
